Political correctness (PC) is an ideology that aims to refrain from insulting or belittling anyone who may have dealt with disadvantage or mistreatment due to sex, race or disability. Although the initial dimension of this PC mentality may appear to be a step in the right direction for our country, in actuality, this progressive movement does not reflect our constitution’s first amendment and is detrimental to society. Why is it detrimental to society? We’ll get into that. Before we do… I must clarify that this blog will contain a LOT of my opinion as well as factual evidence to reflect my position on this touchy subject, and in no way do I aim to patronize, belittle or offend anyone who may disagree. I am an advocate of free speech, but my goal is to share my thoughts as well as understand and clarify with those who may disagree… respectfully. THIS BLOG IS ABOUT FREEDOM OF SPEECH! If you are PC, I respect your ideology. I do not condone imposing your ideology onto other people. If you are not for freedom of speech, let’s talk about that.
